Annual blood drive runs in memory of Michelle's mother, Carol Axelrod. The first blood drive was held in 2008, soon after Carol passed away from Multiple Myeloma. She had received numerous blood transfusions over the course of a year, and the blood drive, which runs every October, is a way for our family to give back, while helping to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation.
